Health and hygiene are the two most integral elements for the overall well being of people and must not be ignored at any cost. There is a lack of understanding about the need for hygiene and sanitation and a general awareness about the best ways to improve this.

 

Free Medical Health Checkup Camp- Badholi- 2019

On 14th March 2019, NV Group has organized Free Medical Health check-up camp, inaugurated by Ms.Neha Gupta – Director HR, Admin & Commercial at Badholi Unit with the help of the Health Department of Ambala, which is led by team of Qualified Doctors.

The purpose of free medical camp is to provide the health awareness to the nearby villagers, because we believe, if everybody is healthy then they can develop the society in a better way. Our aim is to provide free medical check-up for people nearby villages, to help them in medical treatment as well to provide them the correct medical advice of diseases, if any. Total 570 head counts has participated and benefitted by this camp. We have also distributed free medicine to villagers recommended by qualified Doctors.

NV Group is committed for our CSR initiative for society and we are ready to do the social service on time to time with the help of villagers and panchayat. We would also like to apprise that under CSR, NV management has contribute wooden benches and water coolers for students of Sr. Secondary Govt. School, at Village Badholi.

Free Eye Checkup Camp- Rajpura- 2018

“The Eye – The most important sensory organ and window of the soul”.

The World Health Organization estimates that up to 80% of blindness and serious visual loss around the world is avoidable through prevention or treatment.

Having our eyes tested for vision and general eye health can help identify problems early and prevent loss of eyesight.

Key Facts from WHO-

  • Globally, it is estimated that approximately 1.3 billion people live with some form of vision impairment.
  • About distance vision, 188.5 million people have mild vision impairment, 217 million have moderate to severe vision impairment, and 36 million people are blind. With regards to near vision, 826 million people live with a near vision impairment.
  • Globally, the leading causes of vision impairment are uncorrected refractive errors and cataracts.
  • The majority of people with vision impairment are over the age of 50 years.

This time we have initiated free eye check-up camp for five villages, neighboring NV Distilleries & Breweries Pvt. Limited, Rajpura & educate them the importance of good eyesight. A dedicated team of Doctors and eye specialists from Oswal Hospital, Ludhiana was part of CSR initiative.

Good eyesight is an important part of wellbeing and a significant factor in retaining independence and quality of life, as we get older. We have distributed free Medicine, Spectacles & supported those people who are recommended for eye operations.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan- Rajpura- 2017

The entire agenda of undertaking advocacy for health and sanitation amongst the employees of NV Distilleries and Breweries PVT. Ltd, Rajpura is synchronized with a five-year Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiated by our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji.

In addition the CSR activity towards improving the health and sanitation standards in the neighboring villages is undertaken a regular basis fogging, cleaning of ponds, providing water coolers and educating the people regarding the importance of hygiene and sanitation for their and their children sake.

Cleanliness drive in village Sandharsi as part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Health and Hygiene Workshop

Our flagship program on Health and Sanitation was especially designed for our employees in Rajpura. Keeping in mind the socio-economic conditions of the area we undertook awareness workshop on linkages between health and sanitation for over 200 employees.

Our resources people from St. Stephen Hospital, Delhi spoke about different issues like:

  • Linkages between health and sanitation
  • Awareness on water and vector borne diseases
  • Waste management techniques
  • Emphasis on daily personal hygiene
  • Imparted emotional intelligence on behavior change on “why use toilets”
  • Construction of different models of low-cost toilets
  • HIV and other related diseases
